Since 1981, we have partnered with the horse to provide the highest quality physical, emotional, behavioral, and psychological health services in Southern Colorado.

Our Mission

To significantly improve the lives of individuals through a connection with horses.

Our Vision

To be an essential solution to strong and healthy individuals, families, and communities.

Who We Are

A woman named Gay O’Rourke founded Acts 19:11, now know as StableStrides, because of a community need for alternative therapy options. As the oldest and largest equine assisted activities and therapies center in Southern Colorado, we are also the only Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship International (PATH Intl.) Premier Accredited center in the area. We have a passion for healing and believe that horses enhance the healing process in a way that nothing else can.

clients per week

We serve an average of 120 clients per week, with the help of 20 plus horses and over 200 volunteers.

“I believe in StableStrides and the incredibly valuable service you all provide to all the families that come through the facility doors. I’ve seen the kid’s faces light up with joy and seen the new confidence and strength, that they grow when they are on horseback. I know that this therapy manifests into a better quality of life, both at and away from the stables, for the riders and their families.”
