Youth Programs

At StableStrides, we want to inspire the next generation of horse lovers. We offer youth leadership camps, school programs, and even literacy education and tutoring. We personalize your experience so young people learn about horses, horsemanship, and leadership. We also work with teen rehabilitation centers to teach young adults how to gain valuable life skills alongside their equine companions.

We partner with local youth organizations to make our programs fit your needs. Young people love working with horses and see benefits like increased learning, more regulated behavior, better coping skills, and improved problem solving.

Teens and the CHRP Grant

The CHRP grant is designed to support children and young adults with intellectual or developmental disabilities, very high needs, or emotional disturbances who are at risk or in need of out-of-home placement. At StableStrides, we provide services that help these children and teens learn and maintain skills needed to live in their communities.

Horse Powered Reading

HPR gives children the tools they need to become successful readers. At StableStrides, our HPR instructors were prior school teachers and principals, so they know how to work with students and how to help with reading and literacy.

Leadership Development & Education Courses

Our certified life coach is also a teacher and she offers education programs for schools. We can bring our mini horses to your school or you can bring your students out to our barns for experiential learning. Your school may even agree to partner with us so your students get elective credits for taking our courses. Just ask and we can build it.
